GLYN EDWARDS CSNU
He worked with the renowned medium Gordon Higginson on a variety of projects over many years and has travelled extensively, speaking, lecturing, demonstrating and running workshops worldwide. He owes much of his early work to Jean Matheson, a longtime friend and organiser of numerous events and courses in the North of England, who sat for him in a highly productive development circle and helped him to gain confidence in his abilities. He is one of the founders of the Gordon Higginson Fellowship and a regular course tutor at the Arthur Findlay College (a college for the study and advancement of transpersonal phenomena). He has also worked at Spiritualist Association of Great Britain, is a certificate holder of the Spiritualists’ National Union and been involved with the research of PRISM?(Psychical Research Involving Selected Mediums). He has broad knowledge of various spiritual paths, and frequently invites revered teachers from related disciplines – such as the yoga master and close-friend Swami Dhamananda Saraswati Maharaj – to share their discoveries and work with students on his courses. He is particularly known for the quality of his work and his ability to demonstrate almost effortlessly in front of large audiences. He is also respected for his understanding of, and insight into, different areas of mediumistic unfoldment and his devotion to helping students explore and realise their individual potential. In 2003 he made the front page of Psychic News after being struck-down by a mysterious virus. Since then, he has shown how determination and the power of the Spirit can overcome adversity. Remarkably, many have testified to his work and teaching moving to a deeper level, and he found this chapter in his life opening up many profound insights and experiences. He has been interviewed on television and radio throughout the world, recorded many teachings and practices and written numerous articles on integral spirituality and co-authored two highly praised development manuals with the religious studies teacher and ex-Punk Rock bassist of The Wasps, Santoshan (Stephen Wollaston): Tune in to your Spiritual Potential and 21 Steps to Reach your Spirit (published by Foulsham/Quantum Books). Additionally, Glyn has become increasingly drawn to the teachings and great masters of the East – although Indian and yogic wisdom have always been a source of nourishment for him – particularly the Dalai Lama, Ramana Maharshi, Sri Aurobindo and one of his prime exponents, M. P. Pandit, with whom he once had a private audience in Pondicherry. Swami Dharmananda, whose main guru was Trivadi Ramachandra (one-time secretary to Mahatma Gandhi), has also become a great source of wisdom and help in Glyn’s spiritual life and search, and officially gave him the yoga name Devadasa (servant of God). As well as being intitiated into her tradition and given various practices, he has also undertaken instruction from the renowned Tantric master Sri Jammu Maharaj, who he frequently saw until 2004 (the year of Sri Jammu’s passing) with co-author Santoshan and Swamiji.
